When you first make a death knight, they start with but two things, all your weapon proficiencies at 270, and with the additional First Aid skill at level 270. This seems all good and fine but wait, all your professions start at 0. Well actually, you have to relearn them. This tends to be a problem for players like me, who tend to hate farming and would really prefer to level up to 300 with both as soon as possible to be ready for the outland.
Yesterday, I spent about 5 hours doing nothing, absolutely nothing but powerleveling my skinning to 300 and consequently herbalism for 50. Albeit boring, I’ve worked out a method and it seems the unholy build provides the best and most versatility for this build. I’ve already mentioned my build as being this

This talent tree, as I said is versatile, most importantly because of PvP capabilites (if you’re in a PvP server), PvE capabilities and ease of farming, or powerleveling if you may. The most important part of this build I think, is primarily the permanent ghoul that comes with the talent Master of Ghouls. Credit for this build should go to Jame, the creater of http://www.wow-pro.com and laid the foundation for both leveling guides and leveling talent trees. I am unsure of whether or not he knew the significance of his talent build but I am sure though, that believed this as being a tried and true good PvE spec.
Okay, now for the reason this makes it the ultimate profession leveling spec. Two talents here I think speed up the process greatly, Master of Ghouls and On a Pale Horse.
The former I believe is the skill that truly shines when powerleveling professions. The reasoning behind this is simple, leave your ghoul on defensive, and if anyone aggroes (you will most likely be in lower level regions anyway for starters), your ghoul will make mincemeat of them and you can farm without worrying about being interrupted.
The latter skill, on a pale horse, allows you to move 20% faster between clusters or nodes of herbs making logical sense for being the faster mode of transport.
My next post, will discuss the PvE and the PvP capabilities of this build as I’ve seen it as a relatively new player to WoW.
Be warned however, my advice is for new players from a new player. I am not an expert but simply giving my viewpoints on the good and the bad of it from a newbies perspective. My level 61 Death Knight on the Zuluhed Server is my highest level character at the moment, but also the one I plan to make my main.
